Yes. All our ceramics and glazes are food safe and are lead and cadmium free.
How durable are the ceramics?
High-fired stoneware is exceptionally durable and strong. Fired at Cone 10 (approximately 2270 degrees Fahrenheit), the ceramics do not chip or break easily. And for any item that does break, we offer a 10% replacement discount.
Are the ceramics dishwasher safe?
Yes.
Can I put the ceramics in the microwave?
Yes.
Can I put the ceramics in the oven?
We don’t recommend this, as the heat can cause discoloration, and rapid changes in temperature can be hard on the ceramics.
Are the ceramics handmade?
Yes. Colleen throws every bowl individually on the wheel. All the plates are handmade on hump molds. We glaze each piece individually, by hand. Every piece is unique.
If all the pieces are unique and one-of-a-kind, can I get a matching set?
Yes. Colleen makes beautifully cohesive sets. If you order a set, we always make sure that they work well together as a group.
